The department provides a complete and adequate research and experimental space. There are two major types of laboratories, one is a basic teaching laboratory and the other is a professional research room. The basic teaching laboratory mainly supports basic experimental courses such as circuit electronics, computer programs, microcomputers and digital logic circuits. The professional research laboratory mainly supports experimental courses and related fields in communication, control, green energy, VLSI and biomedical fields. The research room mainly provides research and implementation of computer simulation space for graduate students in various fields. In addition, we establish an Innovation and Self-Creation Development Center together with the College of Science and Engineering in order to cultivate students' innovative and self-created spirit, establish and develop creative products together with the industry, integrate research and teaching resources related to innovation and development inside and outside the school, and further provide community creative teaching services.

All laboratory space and equipment of the department are shared by the whole department. According to the different nature of the laboratory, one or several teachers are entrusted to take care of the maintenance and management, in order to maximize the use of space and equipment. The design of the teaching content is fully planned for a variety of internship courses to meet the needs of trends. A sufficient provision of at least 4 to 6 million per annum is provided for the maintenance and procurement of research equipment, and effective management is provided to enable the equipment to maintain a good operational condition. The school has superior transportation advantages (two MRT intersections between Xinzhuang and the airport) and geographical advantages (near the Linkou Huaya Science Park and the Wugu industrial park). Due to the well-equipped equipment, it supports many service courses (such as: Remote rural teaching). Besides, Tze-Chiang Foundations of Science and Technology and TI Training borrow the laboratory of the department to offer training courses at weekend.
