Yi-Li Tseng is currently an associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering in Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU), New Taipei City, Taiwan. She received her B.S. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. In 2012, she received her Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering from National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Brain Dynamic and Information Synthesis Laboratory (BDISL) in the Institute of Statistical Science, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. In the summer of 2014 and 2015, she visited Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience, University of California, San Diego (UCSD) as a visiting scholar.

Prof. Tseng joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Fu Jen Catholic University since 2014. She also served as the chair of the Biomedical Engineering Program in the College of Science and Engineering in FJU. She set up the Laboratory for Augmented Cognition and Neuroengineering in FJU and integrated systems with multiple neurophysiological signals including electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Prof. Tseng’s professional interests lie in the broad area of brain mining that leverages large scale brain networks, computational neuroscience, machine learning, and brain-computer interface methods for better understanding of the fundamental scientific and clinical knowledge of neural system. Her recent 3-year MOST project has been focused on the development of an emotion and social evaluating interface for patients with autism spectrum disorder based on the integration and assessment of multi-neurophysiological signals.

Prof. Tseng has published 17 journal articles (eight first-authored) and 23 conference papers and proceedings in the fields of large scale brain networks, artificial intelligence for computer-aided diagnosis, and medical instrumentations. Till now, Prof. Tseng has been serving as a reviewer for 11 international journals and 10 conferences. She is currently a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM), Society for Neuroscience (SfN), and Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS).
